Flora - Poppy 1 explores my love of flowers, Dutch still life, vintage Gucci scarves featuring the flora patterns made famous by Grace Kelly.  I love capturing the movement of the petals in poppies, the vibrant colours and the contrasts with magnolia leaves.  Poppies by the roadside and in fields are an enduring memory of summers in Italy as a child...This work features others of my favourites - pink tinged roses, peonies and magnolia leaves.  The lady beetle, coccinelle, is a good luck symbol
